For their Live-In Showhome Nick & Kylie followed the same design principles they use with each of their clients. The Design firstly reflects who they are as a family with their distinctly American design flair. Secondly, functionality. As a growing family, they needed a home to take them through the childhood years into the teens and beyond.
To design a showhome that could be beautiful, as well as functional as a working family home.
We created spaces that were flexible and open so that they could evolve with the meeds of the family. Smart storage solutions were a must, to ensure lived in spaces were easy to keep organised and tidy. Products selected were carefully considered for their look as well as function & durability.
The finished result was a home that everyone loved. From the family, to the guests, passers by in the street and developers from other subdivisions looking for a fresh take on what it meant to be a 'modern barn styled home', outside of the black barn Kiwi's know and love.
It has a natural warmth to it, the glow of life that made it more than a pretty house. It was in all senses, a home.
